Have had zero time to do my own stuff for the last few months, but a slow day at work has given me some time to draw someone I've been meaning to for a while.
If Mike doesn't make it through the rest of season 5 I will BUUUUUMMED. No way Walt can touch this dude, would be very surprised if he does.
A few designs that didn't end up getting used in the project I've been on, really like the middle dude, should've worked him in there somewhere.
Also something kind of neat, a short that I worked on for Free Range Studios was uploaded semi-recently:
They ended up doing a complete redesign from when I initially worked on it, but I helped out with notes and revisions on the newer version, as well (and some of my original elements remained in there, too!). Had a great time working with them on this and another project, and look forward to doing so in the future!
Been working from home as of late, feel like this is how I spend a fair amount of my time. It's tough working with a time-difference, but I really enjoy the work I've done so far.
Layron DeJarnette's work has been a HUUUGE inspiration as of late, have watched through a majority of The Ricky Gervais Show over the past few weeks. Love his stuff, check it out!
Did some quick freelance last week to keep busy while in-between contracts.
The storyboards were completed in a day, and then by the time I found out I had the go-ahead on the project, there was a little under 2 days to get all the assets and animation completed.
Big thanks to W. Justin King, who animated the two dudes and cleaned up Ponytails-McGoo.
Despite her shenanigans in this past season, Betty's still one of my favorites. Anyone that hates her and loves Don can take a big ol' step to the left.
Been re-watching the entire series before the premiere (there is so much I had forgotten, GOTTA BE PREPARED). Want to try and do some more before that glorious day arrives, but here's Joan and Roger to start:
Uhh...Happy New Year?! Where the eff did 2011 go, been forever and a day since my last post.
Saw something neat over the weekend, some promos for the upcoming WordGirl movie, The Rise of Miss Power! This will be the first time I'll have seen any of my work on television, so I'm pretty excited. A couple really quick shots from some of my scenes are in the video below, one at 0:07-0:08 and the other from 0:11-0:13 (I'm also creepin' in the crowd shot around 0:05, CAN YOU FIND ME).
The movie premieres February 20th on PBS (not sure if that's 5 pm eastern or central in the promo..will update again before it airs!). Please check it out if you have the chance!
ETA: The movie premieres at 4:30 pm ET on your local PBS station!
